Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CableMint Tools handles information when you use CableMintTools.com, CableMint Field Tools, and the CableMint Device Capture mobile application (collectively, the “Services”).
Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect or process:
- Account information: email address, authentication information, and account identifiers used to sign in and provide cloud features.
- Project and field data: project/site names, device records, MAC addresses, serial numbers, equipment details, notes, saved calculations, Gap/Punch List records, status information, and related timestamps.
- Photos and files you choose to upload: for example, Gap/Punch List photo evidence and other project files supported by the Services.
- Usage and device information: website/app interactions, browser or device information, referral information, and similar technical data used to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
- Subscription and transaction information: limited information needed to identify subscription status. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy policies. CableMint Tools does not directly store full payment card numbers.
Camera, barcode, OCR, and photo handling
CableMint Device Capture may request access to your camera or photo library so you can scan equipment labels and attach project evidence. Device-label images used for barcode/OCR recognition are intended for temporary processing and are not uploaded or retained as cloud project photos unless you explicitly choose to save or upload an image through a feature that stores project evidence. Gap/Punch List photos that you choose to save are uploaded to private cloud storage associated with your account and project.
How we use information
We use information to provide account access, sync project data, store and retrieve project records and files, generate reports, provide subscription features, support users, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, secure the Services, and improve CableMint Tools.
Cloud service providers
We use third-party service providers to operate parts of the Services. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; payment providers for subscription transactions; hosting providers; and analytics providers for website or product analytics. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
Analytics
We may use analytics services, including Google Analytics on our website, to understand traffic and product usage and improve the Services. Analytics may process technical information such as pages viewed, device/browser information, and interactions.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access controls and private cloud storage for user project files. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain account and project data for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data associated with an account deletion request will be deleted unless retention is required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reasons. Payment providers may retain transaction records according to their own legal and compliance obligations.
Account and data deletion
If you have a CableMint account, you may request deletion of your account and associated CableMint project data. Visit CableMint Account & Data Deletion for instructions.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate authentication, hosting, cloud storage, analytics, payments, security, or customer support, subject to applicable agreements and privacy obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, CableMint Tools, or others.
Children
CableMint Tools is intended for professional and business use and is not directed to children.
Your choices
You can stop using the Services at any time, remove locally stored app data through your device settings where applicable, and request deletion of your CableMint account and associated cloud data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services change. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest revision.
